When you donate to UO Strange-Earth, you are making a voluntary contribution to support the server's infrastructure and the dedicated team behind it. Your donations play a crucial role in keeping the shard running smoothly and ensuring that all players can enjoy the game without any financial burden.

The funds generously donated by our players are invested back into the UO Strange-Earth community in several ways:
- Server Costs: Donations are primarily utilized to cover server expenses, including hardware maintenance, hosting fees, and bandwidth.
- Speed Upgrades: As the player base grows and demands increase, your donations allow us to upgrade server resources and ensure a smooth and lag-free gaming experience for all.
- New Features: We are committed to continuously enhancing the gaming experience. Your contributions help us implement new and exciting features, quests, and events to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
- Long-term Sustainability: By donating, you contribute to the long-term continuity of UO Strange-Earth, allowing us to plan for the future and maintain the shard for years to come.
¶ Supporting the Community and Beyond
In addition to supporting the UO Strange-Earth server, we also recognize the value of software and charitable organizations that promote computer literacy and contribute to the open-source community. Some of the funds may be re-donated to support software platforms that have helped build and maintain our shard, such as Wikijs, ClassicUO, ServUO, and Fiddler.
¶ Donation Amounts and Transaction Fees
We appreciate any amount you choose to donate, and every contribution, no matter how small, is valued and meaningful to us. However, it's essential to consider that cash apps charges a transaction fee for each donation. To ensure that your donation makes a significant impact, we encourage players to consider the transaction fee when sending very small amounts, such as under one euro, as most of it may go towards covering cash app fees on our end. Stripe has a set 2.9% processing fee in place as well as a $0.30 per transaction on top. Paypals feeds are even higher.
As a token of our appreciation, for ever $1 you donate, we will send you 5 Strange Prismatic Gems which may be used to access exclusive in-game rewards and recognition, showcasing your love for our shard. Please allow up to 24 hours for staff to review your donation and ship over the in game gems.
